Cheryl and Andrew’s wedding was such a dream. I’ve always wanted to photograph a wedding at the gorgeous 114-year-old barn venue, Barn at the Woods. Their wedding planner, Aaron Baldridge, arranged for us to meet and it was a perfect match. After hearing their love story, plans, and vision for the wedding, I knew this was going to be epic… and it was. On the perfect fall October day, Cheryl and Andrew were married in front of the Wedding Tree – a large Oak tree that was formed by two trees that have grown together as one. It was a perfect symbol for the occasion. Andrew included Cheryl’s daughter in the ceremony by presenting her with a necklace (there wasn’t a dry eye around) and then followed by a unity sand ceremony joining the family as one.
After the vows were said, rings were exchanged, and Andrew finally kissed his bride, that is when the party started in the barn. And boy did it ever! Drinks were flowing and the DJ kept the dance floor packed. Their loved ones mingled together around the barn, smoked cigars on the grounds by the heaters, and made s’mores by the fire. After several group fireball shots and a dance off or two, they exited by sparklers ending with their own fireworks show! It was the perfect fall wedding and everything Cheryl and Andrew hoped it would be. It was truly an honor spending the evening with them to forever capture this special day.
