Women in Business: Inside Tin Lizzie’s and My Photography Studio Upstairs

Tin Lizzies Women's Boutique

When you walk into Tin Lizzie’s in the West Village of downtown Oklahoma City, you’re stepping into more than just a boutique. You’re stepping into a thoughtfully curated space filled with charm, creativity, and community. This women-owned lifestyle shop has become a local favorite for thoughtfully curated gifts, accessories, and home décor with many made in Oklahoma.

And just upstairs? That’s where I come in. My natural light photography studio sits right above Tin Lizzie’s. It’s where I photograph women through boudoir, branding, and lifestyle sessions that celebrate confidence, self-expression, and growth.

Together, we’re creating a space in OKC where women are seen, supported, and celebrated. Whether they’re shopping local or stepping in front of the camera, this building holds space for creativity and connection.

Oklahoma-Owned and Women-Led

Tin Lizzie’s is owned by Julie Miller, a creative entrepreneur who turned a single booth at a vendor mall into a full brick-and-mortar boutique. Her mission was simple but powerful: to create a space that celebrates local makers and supports fellow women business owners. Since opening in 2017, Julie has filled her shop with products that reflect her values: authenticity, community, and heart.

She offer many unique boutiques products including Made in Oklahoma brands and artisans to keep the shop full of one-of-a-kind finds, like local mom and entrepreneur Morgan Parsons with Black Pearl Collective. When you walk into Tin Lizzie’s, you’re not just shopping. You are supporting dozens of other Oklahoma businesses, many of them women-owned.

The Power of Made in Oklahoma

If you’re searching for Made in Oklahoma gifts, Oklahoma-owned boutiques, or local women-owned shops in OKC, Tin Lizzie’s is your spot. The shelves are filled with high quality items such as handcrafted candles, locally designed apparel, gourmet snacks, artwork, paper goods, and more. Every item comes from makers who call this state home.

Each product has a story. That’s something Julie and I both value in our work.

My Studio Upstairs: Creating Space for Self-Love

Above Tin Lizzie’s, my studio is where I tell stories through photography. I work with women at every stage of life, whether it’s a boudoir shoot that celebrates body confidence, a maternity session that captures motherhood in all its beauty, or branding photos that elevate a woman-owned business.

Photographing Julie’s boutique was a special project for me. It wasn’t just about showcasing the products. It was about capturing the essence of a space built on connection, creativity, and community.

Having my studio above Tin Lizzie’s feels like the perfect alignment. Two women-led businesses. Two creative visions. One shared goal: to support, uplift, and celebrate women through everything we do.

Women Supporting Women in West Village, OKC

We believe in collaboration over competition. Whether it’s highlighting women-owned brands on Julie’s shelves or photographing a fellow female entrepreneur in my studio, we’re proud to be part of a larger movement of women supporting women in Oklahoma City.

When you visit our corner of West Village, you’re stepping into more than a boutique or a studio. You’re stepping into a space where women are encouraged to dream big, feel seen, and share their stories.
